Who’s Who of Living Well Counseling: Introducing Mrs. Aamie Mason …
March 12, 2020
“I live in Hot Springs with my husband of 25 years, David. We met at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and have been serving in ministry together since the start of our marriage. We are currently at Walnut Valley Baptist Church where David is pastor. We have the privilege of living on some land behind the church and now have goats, chickens, a miniature horse named Rosie and a black lab, Luke.
I am the proud mother of 3 girls:
Ashlyn (married to Walker Johnson), 23
Laura Katheryn, 19, a freshman at National Park College
Kimee, 14, a student at Fountain Lake Middle School.
My first career was in the field of speech pathology for 18 years, but I felt called to pursue counseling following the death of my sister in law, Karen in 2011. She died at the young age of 40 leaving behind her husband (my brother) and 2 young children. This journey of grief was the catalyst God used to lead me on this new adventure. I graduated from John Brown University at the old age of 45, and never want to write another paper ever again!
I love working with ministry families and foster/adoptive families. I am trained in Theraplay Level 1, Trust-Based Relational Intervention for Educators, and I strongly desire to gain additional knowledge in Emotion-Focused Therapy.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with m family, travel to new places, go on lunch dates with friends, and enjoy daily trips to Sonic for a vanilla Diet Coke.
Working with this Living Well Counseling team is a tremendous blessing in my life!
