Charles Flynn

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

As a child, Charles saw the compassion of his parents as they ministered to children living at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe. He attended church with the children and visited them on campus. Those early experiences changed his life. Charles accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 11 and developed a passion for serving others. He went on to earn two bachelor’s degrees – one in music education, one in social work – from the University of Louisiana Monroe, followed by a master’s degree in social work from LSU and a master’s degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He joined our team in 1991. Charles is a two-time past president and current board member of the Association of Christian Childcare Administrators, as well as the past president of the Arkansas Association of Homes for Children. Since 2001 he has been appointed by the governor to the Child Welfare Agency Review Board, and has also chaired that board. Charles and his wife, Lana, have been married since 1976 and are blessed with four children and six grandchildren. He enjoys photography and travel.
