Pastor Appreciation Month

by Tim Noel, Director of Church Partnership

Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:11-13

“And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.”

The call to pastor is a heavy calling.  The responsibility to build up the body of Christ is both challenging and rewarding.  Many pastors find themselves in a season of discouragement and frustration.  At the same time, you realize that God has given you the privilege of standing before your congregation each week to proclaim the precious truths of God.  Pastor, you have answered God’s call.  You have surrendered your life to shepherding your faith family.  Thank you. You stand with us during our greatest joys as well as in our darkest days and you do it with the love and compassion of Christ.  This month, we celebrate you, Pastor.  We appreciate you, Pastor.  Know that you are prayed for.  Keep striving, keep leading, and know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
